Mark Boyle Death: Owner of Mark T. Boyle Welding died in accident, Michael Albert charged for murder

Mark Boyle Death – A 35-year-old West Penn father and Tamaqua, PA man has tragically passed away. Mark Boyle, who was the owner of Mark T. Boyle Welding & Industrial Sandblasting died after he was intentionally struck by a dump truck driven by 60-year-old Mike Albert. The deadly incident happened at Mark’s own welding company in Schuylkill County.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene of an incident Wednesday, August 2, 2023, in the 700 block of Penn Drive in West Penn Township. Arriving officers located the young father suffering from apparent trauma. He was airlifted to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement agencies say the suspect identified as 60-year-old Scranton man Michael Albert has been taken in custody and is now facing murder charges in the intentional killing of Mark. He has been charged with third-degree murder, aggravated assault, homicide by vehicle, reckless endangerment, and theft of services. Michael Albert is currently held without bond at the Schuylkill County Prison.

Who Was Mark Boyle?

Mark Boyle was a beloved father of three and husband to Elizabeth Boyle. Together they owned and operated the Mark T.Boyle Welding LLC – a Welding & Industrial Sandblasting company. Mark Boyle was an Alumnus of  Tamaqua Area Senior High School and Schuylkill Technology Center South. He lived in West Penn but was originally from Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
