Reginal King, the collision took place at 6:52 in the evening on U.S. 279, a little less than one mile west of Piedmont in Calhoun County. Raney was operating a Harley Davidson from 2011 when he collided with a Nissan Frontier driven by Hannah Bagwell, who was also from Piedmont and was 28 years old.
Marcus T. Raney Jr., who lived in Piedmont and was 48 years old, was a well-known and well-liked member of the community. Many people in the area looked up to him. He was a passionate motorcyclist who loved nothing more than hitting the open road on his adored 2011 Harley Davidson motorbike.
