M50 Suicide Investigations: Garda is investigating an incident on M50 Sunday. Drivers have been urged to avoid M50 motorways following a personal incident Sunday evening. According to reports, both ways of the M50 have been closed to traffic following an ongoing investigation. “All motorists urged to avoid M50 southbound after an incident leads to full road closure.”
Law enforcement agencies were called to M50 southbound near J6 Blanch for a report of an individual threatening to attempt suicide. Multiple emergency services are currently responding to the scene of the incident. Negotiators, Garga, an Ambulance, and the fire service are responding to the scene.

The M50 is a C-shaped orbital freeway in Dublin that is the busiest in Ireland. The current route was developed in parts over 27 years, from 1983 to 2010. It starts at Dublin Port and runs north through the Dublin Port Tunnel and a section of the Airport Motorway.
