Lucas Garverick Death – Lucas Garverick, a resident of Galion, Ohio, and a beloved brother, son, and friend passed away tragically on Monday, July 3, 2023. He was announced dead on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, by a close friend through a social media publication that read “RIP big Luke! Prayers for everyone involved in such a tragic situation. Had a lot of good memories with Luke! You will be missed buddy!” Lucas died leaving behind his family and friends devastated.

On Monday, July 3, 2023, in response to a report of shots fired at 6556 State Route 97, deputies from Morrow County were sent to the scene. The deceased person has been named by the authorities as Lucas Garverick, who was a resident of Galion. Four shots were fired into a Cherry Street residence on Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021, injuring a Galion resident, according to investigators. In order to better understand a shooting that happened at around 12:28 in the morning in the 300 block of Cherry Street, the Galion Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance. When four gunshots were heard, neighbors called the police and reported the incident.

A black Dodge Charger was reportedly seen fleeing the scene, possibly traveling north on Harding Way West. Call Galion Police Detective Robert Burkey at 419-468-9111 or the private tip line at 419-468-3480 if you observed a car that looked like it at that time. Officers responded to the location and discovered four holes in the Cherry Street side of a house. They also discovered one bullet that had been lodged in one of the internal doors of the same property.

According to the police, the occupant of the house was sleeping when the rounds were fired into the bedroom. The incident didn’t result in any injuries. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation will receive the evidence for processing. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Mansfield Police Department provided aid to the Galion Police Department.
