Four shots were fired into a Cherry Street residence on Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021, injuring a Galion resident, according to investigators. In order to better understand a shooting that happened at around 12:28 in the morning in the 300 block of Cherry Street, the Galion Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance. When four gunshots were heard, neighbors called the police and reported the incident.
A black Dodge Charger was reportedly seen fleeing the scene, possibly traveling north on Harding Way West. Officers responded to the location and discovered four holes in the Cherry Street side of a house.
