Lisa Robertson was a dedicated wife of Tim Robertson, mother of five children, and grandmother to many. She died unexpectedly leaving her community devastated.
Lisa authored the book Advent: Making Christmas about Christ and served as a Bible study instructor, speaker, and advocate for women’s ministry for more than two decades. In addition to remaining involved in her church and her children’s school, Lisa served on several local and national committees, including Teen Mania, Smart Beginnings, and Alpha. Living the Life and The 700 Club both featured her as a guest.
Lisa was a mother, wife, author, speaker, and educator. N. The Path of Life: Walking in the Loving Presence of God, her most recent publication, was published in 2019.
After graduating from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor of Arts, Lisa began a prosperous advertising and sales career in Boston. After relocating to Virginia Beach, Virginia, with her spouse Tim, Lisa assumed sole responsibility for the upbringing of their five children. Lisa was an active leader in women’s ministry during those years; she also established Changing Seasons, an outreach ministry that assists women in discovering and developing their faith.
She was a member of the Proverbs 31 Ministries and the Museum of the Bible boards of directors. Additionally, Lisa served on the founding board of Alpha North America. In addition to her advocacy for early childhood education, she was a founding board member of E-3, Elevate Early Education, a Virginia-based statewide initiative that ensures children under the age of five are prepared for school.
The governor of Virginia appointed Lisa to the Virginia State Board of Child Abuse and Neglect. Author of the Faithful Beginnings School Readiness Guide, this resource assists preschool educators and parents in establishing solid groundwork for the religious development and early education of their children.
