Although she was born in Mechanicsville, Virginia, she made her home in Richmond, Virginia for the majority of her life. She began her education at Atlee High School, from which she graduated in 2011. She then continued her education at James Madison University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015, and then she continued her education at the University of Virginia. At the time, she worked for the VCU Health System as a Nurse Practitioner.
