Laycee Barnett Death – LayCee Houghton Barnett, a resident of Heber City, Utah, and a former Direct Support Professional at TURN Community Services has sadly passed away. She was announced dead on Monday by her beloved husband in a social media publication that read “Hey this is LayCee Houghton Barnett husband Josh Barnett I am heartbroken to write this message. LayCee has unfortunate Passed away from leukemia today.”

What was Laycee Barnett’s cause of death?

LayCee Houghton Barnett was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Sunday evening, January 14th, 2024, and she sadly passed away on Monday. LayCee’s mother in-law Jennifer Anderson Barnett confirmed the news in a social media post that read “My beautiful daughter in law LayCee passed away on Monday from acute myeloid leukemia. My heart is broken and I will forever have an empty place in my heart. I will see you every time I look at Abi and Shay.”

Who was Laycee Barnett?

LayCee Houghton Barnett was a native of Heber City, Utah, and a graduate of Wasatch High School. She studied Dance Performance at Southern Utah University and was a former Direct Support Professional at TURN Community Services in Cedar City, Utah. She was a sister to Dakota Houghton, Alisha Houghton Oxley, and Sydney McGovern. LayCee was married to Josh Barnett from Bountiful, Utah, and they were blessed with two beautiful twin daughters, Abi and Shay.

She is a beautiful dancer, a loving wife and a most wonderful mother to adorable twin girls. She was a Southern Utah University dance alumni and was described as a beautiful and talented dancer. LayCee danced with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company from 2018 to 2020. As a WCDC alum, LayCee stayed connected to the company, taking class and enjoying workshops. Most recently, she performed as a WCDC alum in the Movers+Makers gala last June.

Fundraising for Laycee Barnett’s family

Amy Barnett is organizing a fundraiser. The fundraising page organized to raise $25,000 has raised the sum $25,015 at the time of this report. Funeral Arrangements: There will be a viewing for LayCee this Sunday evening at Lindquist mortuary in Bountiful, and the funeral will be held Monday, January 22 in Heber.
