LAPD Officer Suicide; Los Angeles Police Officer has died

LAPD Suicide – The Los Angeles police department are reportedly mourning the passing of an officer who was said to have died by suicide. The identity of the officer is yet to be released at the time of this publication. The department are yet to release an officer statement regarding the incident.
on Saturday, Nov. 4, Officer Darrell Cunningham Shamily, a four-year member of the Angeles Police Department who was in his early 30s at the time of his death, was killed in a car accident that occurred after a suspected intoxicated driver went past a red light in the Northridge district and collided with their vehicle. At the time of the collision, Officer Cunningham was off-duty and not on duty.
The collision had taken place at approximately 1:15 in the morning. Both Officer Darrell and his front-seat passenger were killed when the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an accident. In addition to Cunningham Shamily being hurt, an off-duty San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy who was riding in the backseat of Cunningham Shamily’s automobile was also sent to the hospital for treatment.
According to the police, the driver of the second vehicle, Brian David Oliveri, 20, suffered injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to a hospital for treatment. According to the authorities, there is a strong possibility that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, based on the evidence that has been gathered so far.
