Landon Bourque Death – A 15-year-old student at Frisco Independent School District has tragically passed away. Landon Bourque, a sophomore at Heritage High School in Frisco, TX died following an accident early Wednesday. According to the school district, Bourque was pronounced dead after he was struck by a car while on his way to early morning football practice on the first day of school.

Officers with the McKinney Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Independence Parkway and George Washington Drive at approximately 5:30 a.m. Preliminary investigations determined that the male was riding his bicycle when the accident happened. Wednesday, August 9, 2023, was supposed to be the first of the school section.

According to the police, Bourque, sophomore at Heritage High School in the Frisco Independent School District, was crossing Independence Parkway at the time of the accident. The incident occurred when Bourque was hit by a car approaching from the other direction. As to law enforcement officials, the driver came to a halt and provided assistance to Bourque; however, Bourque did not survive, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

The incident has been communicated to teachers, students, and parents at Heritage High School by district officials in the early hours of the morning, according to the school district. Frisco Independent School District (FISD) has announced that counselors will be available on the premises of Heritage High School to address the immediate needs of pupils.
