Kyle Weloth Death – A Multi-talented athlete has died following a deadly accident that happened on Thursday, the 4th of January 2024. The victim has been identified as Kyle Weloth. According to reports, Kyle Weloth passed away from injuries sustained in the accident. He was 31 years old at the time of his passing.

About Kyle Weloth

Kyle was born on November 4, 1992, the son of David Weloth and Delanie Rigsby. Kyle, a Roy native, showcased his athletic prowess from a young age, excelling in sports like soccer, tee-ball, little league baseball, and football.

His love for sports continued into high school at Roy High, where he lettered in football, baseball, and swimming. Despite not graduating with honors, Kyle built enduring friendships that turned into unbreakable bonds.

Post-graduation, Kyle moved to St. George for studies at Dixie State University, where he humorously dubbed the institution as having a “lame name.” While there, he discovered his passion for golf course maintenance, working at Coral Canyon Golf Course and later at Entrada Country Club, where he played a role in preparing Thanksgiving Point Golf Club for a PGA Web.Com Tournament.

Kyle’s dedication to his chosen profession led him to notable internships at Medinah Country Club in Chicago, The Club at Cordillera near Vail, Colorado, and Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey. Graduating from the Penn State Turfgrass Management Program in 2021, Kyle briefly returned home before joining the Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, as an Assistant Superintendent. Here, he thrived, relishing his time working on the course and even having the privilege of meeting PGA legend Jack Nicklaus during his tenure.

Kyle is survived by his parents, David Weloth and Delanie and Dwayne Rigsby; his sisters, Kimberly Zisumbo (Mikus) and Carly Rigsby (Trevor Miller); brother, Braden Weloth; and the love of his life, McKenzie Madsen;

aunt, Stephanie Peters (Darrell); grandmothers, Becky Archuletta and Carolyn Bray; grandparents, Lewin and Linda Rigsby; aunt, Penny Carpenter; uncles, Art Weloth (Cindy), Ken Wilks (Kim), and Marc Spruiell (Gail); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Nick Archuletta and Jerry Spruiell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
