Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of California and Chester Avenues after receiving reports of the two-vehicle crash.
Based on their preliminary investigation, it was determined that a sedan was heading northbound on Chester Avenue while a pickup was travelling westbound on California Avenue. These two vehicles collided at the intersection. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement and emergency responders discovered that the driver and passenger of the sedan had sustained severe injuries.
Both the male and female occupants were transported to a medical facility for medical care. Unfortunately, the passenger’s injuries proved fatal, leading to their passing.
