Kelby Fortner died in Missouri accident after he fell out of pickup truck
Kelby Seth Fortner Death – Kelby Fortner, a man from Walnut Grove passed away after he fell off pickup truck. The accident that resulted in his death happened on Saturday morning, June 10, 2023. It has been discovered in the investigation made by the officials after the crash that he was riding in the back of a pickup truck on Saturday morning was the victim of a fatal accident that occurred when he fell out of the vehicle. The victim was a resident of Walnut Grove.

According to the report of the accident that was filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a man who was 39 years old was operating a Dodge Laramie that was travelling up a hill adjacent to the Mutton Creek Marina & Campgrounds at Stockton Lake at approximately 1:50 in the morning. The hill was located in the vicinity of Stockton Lake. Kelby Fortner, who was 27 years old at the time, was a passenger on the truck’s tailboard when he lost his balance and fell off.
Kelby Fortner was fatally injured and was pronounced dead by the officials at the scene of the crash. Condolences are been sent to his family members and the entire community after the news of his death was reported to them. In the year 2023, this is the 54th fatal collision that MSHP Troop D has looked into.

Newton County Central Communications received information about a collision on Old 60 Hwy in rural Seneca at approximately 2:45 o’clock on the afternoon of Thursday, June 8, 2023. The 5600 block of Old Hwy 60 drew the attention of deputies from Newton County, an ambulance from Newton County, and firefighters from Seneca Rural Fire. Notification was given to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. We are informed by Cpl. C.C. Clark of Troop D while on the scene. There were three people inside the vehicle.
One of them passed away at the scene. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated but was allowed to go to the hospital for treatment instead. Additionally, he mentioned that the Major Crash inquiry Unit (MCIU) was called in to assist with the inquiry into the deadly accident.
