Karen Patterson Death – Retired Sunlife Financial Employee Karen Patterson of Kitchener, Ontario has sadly passed away. She died on Sunday 13th August 2023 after a tragic accident. She was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital at age 60 surrounded by her beloved family. She was confirmed dead through a post shared on Facebook on Saturday 19th August 2023 that says “Our hearts broke a little bit more this week after finding out that our beautiful friend Karen Patterson passed away in a freak accident doing what she loved”.

Karen Patterson Birth and Career

On July 16, 1963, in the city of Thompson, Manitoba, Karen was brought into the world. She was Marga Brindley (née Dienert) and Lewis Brindley’s cherished daughter and had a special place in their hearts. Karen’s long and successful career with Sunlife Financial, which spanned 26 years, came to an end lately, and she has since retired from her position as Programme Director there. Karen’s spirit was fired by her passions, which included the arts of cooking, entertaining, and creating memorable moments with loved ones.

Her love of travel was fueled by the fascination of experiencing new locations, and her affection for the outdoors and staying active further enriched her life. Karen became a loving friend for the family’s cat, Ginny, and showed her a lot of affection throughout their time together. Karen emitted an air of joy and excitement and has a profound capacity for compassion.

Her unique characteristics shone through in all she did, especially in her roles as a mother and a wife, which were both nothing short of remarkable. Her unflinching willingness to comfort, assist, and care for others in whatever way she could was equaled only by her innate knowledge of the requirements of those around her. Karen’s impact touched the hearts of a great number of people and left a permanent trace of inspiration as a result of her unbounded generosity and her fervour for life.

Survived By

Karen is survived by her husband: Andy, two daughters: Brieanne Patterson (Alex) and Tegan Patterson (Nick), and grand child: Rhian Patterson. As well as her siblings Diana Coupal (Mike), David Brindley, and Robert Brindley (Darlene). Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, September 17th anytime from 1-4pm at the Westmount Golf and Country Club, 50 Inverness Drive. Kitchener Ontario.
