Kayla Morcos wrote on Facebook; To my mini me Julia Hockey Mazur,I’ll never forget our endless conversations about Disney, Jordan Fisher, hockey, work, our future goals, what new Timberland boots or Loungefly backpack we bought. We were always oh so classy eatting Wendy’s baked potatoes with extra butter in the car haha. Meeting by the elevator during intermission and walking laps around the arena at the Penguins games was always something I looked forward to.
I’m so grateful Joey and I were able to visit you Tuesday and spend a few hours together! When anyone would ask me how you were doing I’d say, “she’s in fight mode, gloves are off.” If anyone was going to beat this brutal cancer it was going to be you. You fought your hardest and stayed positive the whole time. You will always have a special place in my heart. You will forever be missed
