Jose Azevedo Newmarket Motorcycle Accident, Motorcyclist died at Shannonville Motorsports Park

Jose Azevedo Death – A motorcycle racer died following a deadly accident that happened on Sunday during a Super Series event. The victim has been identified as Jose Azevedo. According to reports, Jose Azevedo of Newmarket, Ontario passed away after the crash at Shannonville Motorsports Park. The Super Series Motorcycle League confirmed the tragic incident on its Facebook page. The incident happened on Sunday, the 11th of June 2023.

The motorcycle community is in mourning today over the loss of one of its competitors. Jose Azevedo died tragically during a Super Series event on Sunday. Jose Azevedo was a fixture in the paddock, everyone’s friend, and famous for his Portuguese BBQs. We will miss his larger-than-life personality and generous spirit. How did the crash happen?

Azevedo was among the individuals who suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident, involving a total of five people. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that four other racers received medical attention from emergency responders at the track on Sunday afternoon, but no additional details were disclosed. As of 5 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, no new information had been shared by the OPP regarding the incident.

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Jose Azevedo.

The Newmarket police have been able to identify the pedestrian who passed away after being involved in a collision with a vehicle. On December 25 at approximately 8.40 p.m., reports came in that a male pedestrian had been involved in an accident close to the A142 intersection. Officers were dispatched to investigate the incident.

The pedestrian was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, despite the presence of the fire department and an air ambulance. In the absence of official confirmation from the Coroner’s office, the dead has been provisionally named as Leroy Lynch, a resident of the Newmarket area who was 30 years old.
