The Wheaton Police Department is actively seeking surveillance video related to the tragic death of a woman discovered on the road on Monday night, indicating a potential hit-and-run incident. Upon receiving a 911 call from a concerned motorist, authorities promptly arrived at the 900 block of Roosevelt Road. The victim, identified as Paige M. Donahue, a 31-year-old Wheaton resident, suffered severe traumatic injuries. Sadly, despite being transported to Central DuPage Hospital, she was pronounced dead, as confirmed by the police.

According to Donahue’s aunt, Daniela Martinez, the victim had epilepsy and developmental delays, and she resided just a few blocks away from the location where she was found. Martinez believes that Donahue was walking home from 7-11 when she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The Wheaton Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has not ruled out the possibility of a hit-and-run collision. They are urging residents in the vicinity to review their security camera footage captured between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Monday, potentially containing valuable information related to the incident.
