John Reese Death – John R. “Jack” Reese, who resided in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on November 10, 1939 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, to parents named Leonard and Ruth (Rexford) Reese. 83-year-old John R. “Jack” Reese was their first child. Victorene “Vicky” (Thornton) Reese was his wife for the most of their 62-year marriage. After more than twenty years of service, Jack transitioned to Ralph’s Ford in Mansfield after having been employed by Taynton Freight System in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.

He was a charter member of the Ironheads Motorcycle Club in addition to being a member of the Hillside Rod & Gun Club, the Arnot Sportsmen’s Club, and the Ironheads Motorcycle Club. He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. Jack is survived by his wife Vicky, who resides in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania; his son John, who is in Mansfield, Pennsylvania; his daughters Michelle (Butch) Cook of Saratoga, Wyoming, and Lisa (Matt) Feil of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania; his sister Barb Cowles, who resides in Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
It was his grandson Walter Hanson III who passed away before him. On Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 3 to 5 pm, a visitation will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.carletonfh.com). The town of Wellsboro, located in Pennsylvania. At five o’clock in the evening, Pastor Kristi A. Webster will preside over a memorial service.
The interment will take place at the Catlin Hollow Cemetery in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to either the Lewy Body Dementia Association (912 Killian Rd. SW, Lilburn, GA 30047) or the Wellsboro Firemen’s Ambulance Association (21 Crafton St., Wellsboro, PA 16901). Both of these organizations are located in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
