John McSweeney missing from Athea, Co Limerick has been found dead

John McSweeney Missing: Family and friends are mourning the tragic death of a 73-year-old man who was located passed away following unknown incident in Co Limerick. John McSweeney was declared missing on Jan. 6, 2024. According to law enforcement agencies, John was found dead Sunday morning in the town Suburbs.

An appeal was issued to trace the Athea, Co Limerick. He’s described was described as a 1.7m tall, of slim build, bald man with a missing front tooth. John was last seen wearing a black coat, a black peaked cap and wellington boots.

Gardaí appealed to landowners and people who may have buildings or vacant dwellings in nearby areas to check the areas. Law enforcement agencies has not released any cause of death. Tributes have been sent to John’s family following his unexpected demise.
