Today, and Cheshire Police have confirmed that the operation ended with the body of a man being taken from the river, the search and rescue mission was called off. Officers report that his relatives have been notified, and the investigation into his death is not being treated as suspicious by the force.

A search effort was initiated, and the road that is located next to the river was closed off as a result. This was reported by CheshireLive. Along with the five fire engines, the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service also despatched a rescue boat unit to the location. Two of the fire engines came from Chester, while the other three came from Ellesmere Port, Powey Lane, and Lymm.
