Jillian Ludwig Death – A Belmont student has died after a deadly shooting that happened in Nashville. The victim has been identified as Jillian Ludwig, a resident of Brielle, New Jersey. According to reports, Jillian Ludwig, a Belmont student passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting.
She was reportedly shot in the head while walking at Edgehill Community Memorial Gardens Park Tuesday afternoon. Jillian has such a beautiful soul. Her smile lights up any room and she is loved by everyone lucky enough to know her.
How did the shooting happen?
A tragic incident occurred near Belmont University when 18-year-old freshman Jillian Ludwig was struck by a stray bullet while taking a walk at a nearby park. She was found at Edgehill Community Memorial Gardens Park with a gunshot wound to her head and was subsequently taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries. Following the incident, 29-year-old Shaquille Taylor was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and evidence tampering. Evidence including a confidential informant, video footage, and his alleged confession tied him to the shooting.

Taylor had a history, of having been charged with aggravated assault previously, although he was deemed unfit to stand trial and did not meet the criteria for involuntary commitment.
As the investigation continues, authorities are collaborating with the district attorney’s office to pursue more serious charges against Taylor in light of Ludwig’s passing.
