Jessica Crockett Death – Registered Nurse Jessica Crockett of Plainfield, Indiana has sadly passed away. She died in a murder-suicide that took place on Monday 18th December 2023. The news was known through a post shared by her friends that says “Early this morning, while she was sleeping in her own home, my Eskenazi ER Nurse co-worker and long-time dear friend, Jessica Crockett, was murdered by her estranged ex-husband. Jessica had formally and repeatedly reported to law enforcement details of his initimidation and threats to kill her”.
How did the incident happen?
In response to a report of a burglary that occurred at approximately 3:30 in the morning, the police were dispatched to a residence located in the 5800 block of Grevillea Lane. After arriving at the scene, the officers found a broken window in the basement as well as the deceased bodies of two individuals who were inside the house. For the purpose of conducting a comprehensive investigation, detectives were called in. Jessica Diane Stoebick, who was 47 years old and the homeowner, and Ryan Gibbs, who was 41 years old and was proven to be the estranged husband of the deceased woman, were named as the victims.
The online court records revealed a problematic background for Gibbs, with outstanding accusations including invasion of privacy, stalking, intimidation, and violation of a no-contact order. Gibbs was also accused of assaulting another person. According to the Plainfield police, additional members of the family were present in the house at the time of the occurrence; however, they were fortunate enough to live through it without suffering any injuries.
According to the documents filed in the court, Gibbs was arrested in the past about allegations of harassment leveled against Stoebick. During the month of April, he was accused of committing a number of offenses, including two instances of invasion of privacy, intimidation, stalking, resisting law police, and sharing of an intimate image. Gibbs was accused of engaging in troubling behaviors, including breaking a non-contact order and putting graphic photographs of Stoebick throughout her neighborhood and at her place of employment, along with her name and phone number. hese allegations were documented in the allegations that were made against Gibbs. In the affidavit that was used to establish probable cause for Gibbs’s earlier arrest, these revelations were detailed.
