Jeffrey Carlson Actor Death, Star of “All My Children” and Long Beach Native has died

Jeffrey Carlson Death – Former actor of All My Children and native of Long Beach, California Jeffrey Carlson has sadly passed away. He died on Friday 7th July 2023 at the age of 48. He was confirmed dead though a publication that says “I’m in shock that yet another loved one has passed this year. I have no information other than confirmation that Jeffrey Carlson has gone to rest”.  The actual cause of Jeffrey Carlson’s death has not been known at this time.

Jeffrey Carlson Education and Early Life

University of California in Davis alum Jeffrey Carlson grew up in Long Beach. The Dramatic Arts department convinced him to switch his major after he declared his ambition to become a veterinarian. By the time he was a junior at the University, Jeffrey had already switched his major to Dramatic Art, from which he ultimately earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jeffrey continued his education at the Juilliard School after graduating from UCD. He received his diploma from the Drama Department in 2001.

Jeffrey was one of five students featured in a PBS documentary on Juilliard for the American Masters series. The program followed one student from each department for a year, and Jeffrey was the student picked to represent the theatrical department. Two weeks before he was set to graduate from Juilliard, Jeffrey was cast in Lee Blessing’s Thief River at the off-Broadway Signature Theatre under the direction of Mark Lamos.

Jeffrey Carlson Career

On Broadway, Jeffrey made his debut in the role of Billy in David Esbjornson and Bill Pullman’s (and later Sally Field and Bill Irwin’s) production of Edward Albee’s The Goat or Who is Sylvia? After The Goat closed, Jeffrey left for a Broadway revival of Tartuffe starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Brian Bedford, Henry Goodman, J. Smith Cameron, and Kathryn Miesle three weeks before the show’s final performance. After that, Jeffrey left Tartuffe a week early to be a part of Marianne Elliott’s Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker, which starred Hilary Swank and Skye McCole Bartusiak.

On November 30, 2006, Jeffrey made daytime television history when he reprised his role as transgender woman Zoe Zarf on the soap opera All My Children. This delicate yet crucial topic had not been discussed on any other daytime show before.Jeffrey was gearing up to return to the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, on June 5, 2007, to play the title role in Hamlet, which began on June 5, 2007 and played through July 29, 2007, while Zoe was leaving All My Children on April 26, 2007.
