Jeff was employed by the Village to work as a Patrol Officer in December of 2020. Jeff began his career in law enforcement with the Village of Lisle, where he worked for around 2.5 years as a Patrol Officer. Today, Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in the field. After that, he spent the next 25 years working for the Village of Des Plaines in a variety of roles within the police department, including those of Detective, Sergeant, and Patrol Commander, where he was responsible for the supervision of a group of 20 officers.
Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University and has completed a number of other training programs. In addition to that, he was awarded a certificate of completion from the School for Police Staff and Command at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lori (nee Neubauer) Jacoby; his children Jenna and Jake Jacoby; his sister, Michelle (Paul) Myer; his brothers-in-law Tim and Steve Neubauer and his sister-in-law, Lisa Neubauer; his niece Ashley Neubauer, and his nephews, Ryan and Kevin Neubauer. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral service 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Funeral Home. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
