He died at the age of 53. Dr. Jayson was a fixture at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. No cause of death was reported.

Dr. Jayson Tappan was born on June 7, 1970. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, and lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia, according to his Facebook profile. Dr. Jayson graduated from Malabar High School. After high school, he went on to study Medicine at The Ohio State University and Business at Miami University.
Career
Dr. Jayson was an emergency medicine specialist in Fredericksburg, VA. He was affiliated with Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Dr. Jayson was also an Operational Medical Director at Fredericksburg Fire Department.
He also worked as a Master Injector and trainer at Ageless Aesthetics MD, Former Flight Surgeon at VMM-774, and worked at the U.S. Navy. He served as director of the ER for as long as many can remember. Dr. Jayson was not only an exceptional physician but also an extraordinary individual.
Many were fortunate to encounter Dr. Jayson, a truly remarkable person both within and beyond the professional realm. His infectious smile, a constant presence whether at work or in casual settings, defined his genuinely amazing personality. Jayson’s unique qualities made him stand out, and he was universally loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
