Jared Strait Alpine Cowboys Professional Baseball Player Died in Car Accident

Jared Strait Death – A 25-year-old man has died following a deadly car accident that happened this morning. The victim has been identified as Jared Strait. According to reports, Alpine Cowboys Professional Baseball player Jared Strait passed away from injuries sustained in the horrible automobile crash. No further information was mentioned. The details surrounding the accident were not stated. Thoughts and prayers are with his friends, family and the Alpine Cowboys Pro Baseball Club during this difficult time.

Alpine Cowboys Pro Baseball Club released a statement regarding the passing of Jared Strait:

“It is with the deepest sorrow that the Alpine Cowboys announce the passing of Jared Strait, who was killed in a car accident this morning at the age of 25. Jared pitched for the Cowboys for three seasons. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this challenging time. Tonight’s road game against the Austin Weirdos will continue as planned. The Cowboys have decided to play in honour of Jared. His name will be on the lineup card. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 and will be broadcast on local Alpine radio.”

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for FJ Jared Strait.

On December 28, a tragic two-vehicle crash occurred near Alpine resulting in the loss of three lives and one person being injured. Alma Wilson, 54 years old from Odessa was travelling west on U.S. Highway 67 when she attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone. Unfortunately, this resulted in a head-on collision with Roberto Taveraz-Roman’s truck who was driving east on the same road. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger in her car was taken to Medical Center Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Taveraz-Roman and his passenger, Ludivina Taveraz, 72 years old and both from Big Lake, were also pronounced dead. The Department of Public Safety is still investigating the crash and no further information is available at this time. Alpine is a city and the county seat of Brewster County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,905 at the 2010 census. The town has an elevation of 4,475 feet, and the surrounding mountain peaks are over 1 mile above sea level.
