Jane Roach Death – Jane Roach, a native of San Antonio, Texas, and a longtime Director of Training for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF International) has sadly passed away. She was announced dead through a social media publication that read “Our dear friend died yesterday. Jane Roach has joined her dear husband, Jim, in glory! We praise God for their lives and for the sure hope of heaven for all God’s children. The world is a better place because Jim and Jane lived. All glory to God!”
Who was Jane Roach?
Jane Roach was Director of Training for Bible Study Fellowship for more than twenty-five years. She currently teaches two Bible studies, is part of the steering committee for the Texas Hill Country Bible Conference, and assists with women’s ministries at her church. She was a native of San Antonio, Texas. She was married to Jim Roach. They were blessed with one daughter and one son, and many grandchildren.
She taught mathematics at San Antonio Community College for three years and at Texas State University, San Marcos Texas, for three years before the birth of her daughter. Jane desires changed as she began to study the Bible in 1974. She “grew up” in the Lord in Bible Study Fellowship, teaching a class of 450 women for 7 years before joining the global headquarters staff in 1985 as Director of Training.
About Jane Roach
She retired from that position in 2011. Since then she have been teaching two Bible studies in her community and church. Jane served with the whole of heart at BSF International for many years in a leadership role, wrote Bible studies, books, and assisted in the RAFIKI Bible study as well. She was also the author of Joy beyond Agony and God’s Mysterious Ways. Jane enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the church choir, and going to the performances of the San Antonio Symphony.
For times of rest, she do counted cross stitch embroidery. Discovering and trying new recipes has always been fun for Jane. She was a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs NBA basketball team. She was such a dear woman, wonderful speaker and teacher, amazing author and an outstanding example of a Godly Christian.
