Jack Romer Death – Deloitte multi-state tax accountant and consultant Jack Romer has passed away unexpectedly. Jack Romer, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina was announced dead this past weekend. He died at the young age of 23. There was no cause of death reported for Jack Romer at the time of this publication.
Who was Jack Romer?
Jack Martin Romer was born on Monday, March 27, 2000, in Greencastle, Indiana. He was the only son of his mother and father, Martin and Colleen (Kellie) Romer. He was a 2018 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Furthermore, in 2022, he achieved the prestigious honor of graduating magna cum laude from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Jack secured a position at Deloitte, where he contributed his expertise as a multi-state tax accountant and consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He harbored a determined ambition to acquire his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license before reaching the age of 25. Jack’s resolute focus and fervor extended to both his academic pursuits and personal aspirations. He adopted a lifestyle that balanced vigorous play and hard work.

His affinity for expanding his knowledge base was reflected in his enthusiasm for diverse interests such as academia, outdoor adventures, wildlife, hiking, live music venues, and comedy clubs. Moreover, he held a deep appreciation for the enduring friendships he cultivated in Greencastle and at IU.
Survived by
Jack is survived by his older sisters, Haylie and Corrie, whom he adored. His grandmother, Sandra Clay, with whom he shared a gift of gab and love for great food and dining out. His father, Marty, for whom he had a deep admiration and respect. His mother, Kellie, with whom he had a deep connection was his first best friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cletus Romer, his grandmother, Mary Romer, and his grandfather, Larry Clay.
Visitation
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church narthex in Greencastle. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with the Catholic Rite of Committal at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Putnam County Humane Society at 4700 E. SR 240, Greencastle, IN 46135.
