Ivan Marquez Death – A 27-year-old male from Ogden has died following a tragic utility trailer accident that happened in Clearfield on Wednesday morning. The victim has been identified as Ivan Marquez. According to reports, Ivan Marquez, a longtime Ogden, Utah resident passed away in a work-related accident.

Lt. Scott Manookin from the Clearfield Police Department reported that at approximately 6:30 a.m., they received a call regarding an unconscious male at the Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, situated close to the intersection of 1100 South and 1000 West.

Responding to the call, medical personnel from the North Davis fire district and officers from the Clearfield Police Department were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Upon reaching the location, the responders discovered colleagues administering CPR to the individual. Law enforcement officials subsequently confirmed that Ivan Marquez had been struck by a piece of equipment, leading to his unconscious state.

“The victim, he suffered severe trauma to his head,” said Manookin. “The victim was transported by ambulance to the Holy Cross Hospital in Layton and he was in extremely critical condition and succumbed to his injuries a short time after arrival.”

Manookin mentioned that the incident is currently under investigation; however, initial observations indicate that a suspended piece of equipment above the workstation might have fallen onto the victim. “Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the OSHA officials have been notified due to this being a workplace incident,” Manookin said.

Ivan Marquez obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.

According to state police, a fatal crash occurred on Tuesday on Interstate 80 in Clearfield County, resulting in the tragic loss of a Virginia woman. The victim has been identified as Nirali Bhatt, a 29-year-old resident of Lorton. The incident transpired as Bhatt was a passenger in a car travelling eastbound on I-80 within Bradford Township. The vehicle’s driver lost control, leading to a spin-out, collision with a guide rail, and subsequent overturning of the vehicle.

Tragically, Bhatt was partially ejected from the vehicle and became trapped underneath it, suffering injuries that proved fatal. Notably, she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, as revealed by state police. The driver of the car may have sustained injuries, as per troopers’ reports. Additionally, there was a baby present in the vehicle; however, it remains uncertain whether the child sustained any injuries in the course of the accident.
