Ian Mcginty Death – Ian Mcginty, an American comic book writer, and artist known for his work on Adventure Time, Bee and PuppyCat and Invader Zim has passed away unexpectedly. Ian Mcginty was announced dead on Thursday, the 8th of June 2023. He died at the age of 38. Ian McGinty was the kindest person to walk this earth, an extraordinary artist and a lover of animals. He will be deeply missed and will leave a hole in our hearts forever. Words cannot express how much this gentle soul meant to many. No cause of death was reported.

I loved catching up with him at shows, and we often talked about collaborating when our respective schedules calmed down. It’s completely unfair we’ve lost him, particularly at such a young age. Thinking of his family and loved ones.

Mcginty had a tremendous talent with a warm heart and a grin that could make anyone feel better. He was both energetic and thoughtful, and the legacy of generosity he left behind will never be forgotten. “An incredibly talented artist and an inspiration to many comic book fans.” Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time.

Ian Mcginty: Bio

Ian McGinty was born on May 6, 1985, in Annapolis, Maryland. He resided in Los Angeles, California. McGinty was an American comic book writer and artist known for his work on Adventure Time, Bee and PuppyCat and Invader Zim. He is best known for his creator-owned comic Welcome to Showside, and voice acting. His new graphic novel, Hello My Name is Poop, will be debuting in October.

In 2015, it was announced that Z2 Comics would be developing McGinty’s creator-owned comic series Welcome to Showside into an animated series, starring Henry Rollins, Amanda Kaufman, and McGinty himself as Kit. He had so much more to give, but his creativity and gentle nature will continue to inspire many forever.

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Ian Mcginty.
