Holly Irwin Birth and Career

The late Betty (Wetzel) Levy and the late Donald Levy welcomed their daughter Holly into the world on December 15, 1970, in Oil City. Holly was the daughter of both of her parents. After completing her high school education at A-C Valley High School in Foxburg in 1988, she went on to pursue a career in nursing and eventually earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarion University in September of 1997. Because she was so dedicated to learning, she decided to pursue and ultimately earn her certification as a school nurse.

Holly was the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School Nurse for a period of twenty-five years, during which time she devoted herself to the important responsibilities associated with the position. Holly took a great deal of satisfaction in her work, which involved going above and beyond the typical responsibilities of a nurse and being more than just a giver of medical care.

During her time at the school, she had a profound impact on the lives of a large number of pupils, and she became a source of motivation, a guide, and a reliable support system for all of them. Holly is survived by her husband Bud Irwin; and her daughters, Courtney Rice (Tyler Rice) and Aubrey Alfeo (Joseph Alfeo). She is also survived by her siblings, Penny Kinch, Donald Levy (Elma Levy), Kath Best (Jim Best), Deb Davis (Chuck Davis), and Bob Levy (Michelle Levy); and numerous nieces and nephews. Holly was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Edwin Levy and Bill Levy.
