Hayden Stanley Gilmer TX, Former Camp WOW Staff and wrangler Meatball has died

Hayden Stanley Death – Former Camp WOW Staff Hayden Stanley affectionately known to many as “Meatball” has tragically passed away. He was introduced to Camp WOW as a camper and wrangler with AFCC Cowboy Camps. Hayden Stanley, a longtime resident of Gilmer, Texas was announced dead today, Thursday, the 21st of December 2023.

SWCC Youth released the following statement:

“If you knew him you loved him. With great sadness, Hayden Stanley “Meatball” was tragically taken to his eternal Home. Although he is more ALIVE now than he ever was here, we miss him and pray for peace for his family.

If you had Meatball as your Wrangler at CowCamp or knew him in some other way and need to talk, I’m available just call me. Meatball, until we see you again it was a pleasure to serve the Kingdom with you.”

About Hayden Stanley

Hayden was born and raised in Gilmer, Texas. He graduated from Harmony High School. Hayden first experienced Camp WOW as both a camper and a wrangler with AFCC Cowboy Camps. For the past three summers, he dedicated his time to working on the WOW staff. In the most recent summer, he took on the role of Green Team Leader on the Rockwall.

Hayden actively participated in every retreat he could, giving the impression that he was a constant presence at the camp. His connection to Camp WOW was profound, making his loss feel like that of a family member.

He was an outstanding young man, notable for his strong faith and dedication to serving the Lord. Hayden had a passion for bringing joy to others through laughter, and his love for Camp WOW was palpable.

Obituary and Funeral arrangements for Hayden Stanley have not been made by the family.
