Hayden Edstrom Death, 19-years old boy died in single-car accident near Upsala

Hayden Edstrom Death – In the early hours of August 4, a devastating vehicle crash occurred just east of Upsala in Elmdale Township, leaving one person dead. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the incident shortly before 3:30 AM, receiving a report of a possible crash near the intersection of 30th Street and Dairy Road.

Emergency personnel rushed to the scene and, upon arrival, confirmed that a single vehicle had been involved in the crash, with one occupant inside. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Hayden Edstrom, a resident of Freeport.

Tragically, officials found that Hayden Edstrom was unresponsive and lacked a pulse. Despite their swift and valiant efforts to save him, the life-saving measures performed by emergency responders proved unsuccessful. Regrettably, Hayden Edstrom was pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon conducting a thorough investigation into the accident, law enforcement ascertained that the young driver had been traveling westbound on 30th Street when the vehicle veered off the road, entering the ditch on the south side. It continued along the ditch for approximately 100 yards before re-entering the roadway. Unfortunately, it did not stop there, crossing both lanes of traffic and eventually rolling into the north ditch, where it finally came to a rest.

In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen expressed his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies. He extended the thoughts and prayers of the entire Sheriff’s Office to Hayden Edstrom’s grieving family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
