Halee Bliek Death – A woman died, and another man was injured after a single-car accident that happened in Sioux County early Sunday morning. The victims were identified as Halee Bliek and Kaleb DeBey. According to reports, 35-year-old Halee Bliek, a resident of Rock Valley, Iowa passed away from injuries sustained in the automobile crash.

How did the crash happen?

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to an accident shortly after midnight in the northeastern area of Rock Valley. According to authorities, Kaleb DeBey, a 21-year-old resident of Sioux City, was unable to negotiate the curve at the intersection of 300th Street and Filmore Avenue.

Halee Bliek’s cause of death

As a result, his vehicle veered off the road, entered the ditch, collided with a cement culvert, and became airborne. Tragically, Halee Bliek, the passenger in the car, was ejected from the vehicle and trapped underneath. Both individuals were rushed to the hospital, but, unfortunately, Bliek succumbed to her injuries.

The current status of DeBay’s condition remains uncertain at this time. Preliminary investigations indicate that excessive speed and alcohol consumption likely contributed to the crash, though further examination is ongoing.

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Halee Bliek.

In a tragic incident on Sunday, May 14, in Rock Valley, a beloved 18-year-old rural boy named Walter Lee Wynia, known for his heartwarming smile, passed away due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services to honor his memory were conducted on Friday, May 19, at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Rock Valley, followed by a burial ceremony, all organized with the compassionate support of Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

The Rock Valley Police Department received a distress call around 12:20 a.m. on May 14, reporting a single-motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Fairway Drive and Golf Course Road, near Rock Valley Golf Club.

Upon reaching the accident site, officers determined that a 2015 Subaru WRX was travelling north on Golf Course Road when it failed to negotiate a right turn at the intersection, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a tree and a private residence.

Tragically, Walter Lee Wynia, the driver of the vehicle, lost his life in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another passenger, a juvenile, sustained minor injuries. The vehicle suffered severe damage, totalling, with an estimated loss of $50,000.

During this distressing situation, the Rock Valley Police Department received valuable assistance from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Valley Fire Department, and Rock Valley Ambulance, all working together to address the incident with efficiency and care.
