A fusillade of bullets erupted in Hillsborough County when a suspect involved in a domestic shooting was fatally shot by law enforcement after initiating gunfire towards them. Video footage from body cameras captured the moment when three deputies and a trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol exchanged gunfire with the suspect at a crash site near Tampa on Saturday morning.
The deputies took cover as the individual, identified as Eric Blaszczyk, 37 years old, retaliated with gunshots. Authorities reported that Blaszczyk had earlier shot his wife in Pasco County during the early hours of Saturday.
After the exchange of gunfire, law enforcement managed to apprehend the suspect, who later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
