Gerry White Death – Retired North Marion High School Football Coach Gerry White of Fairmont, West Virginia has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 9th November 2023 at the age of 72 leaving family and friends in shock and disbelief. He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post made on Facebook that says “The radio team extends its sympathies to the family of state champion football coach Gerry White, who we lost today at the age of 72”. The exact cause of his death has not been known.

Gerry White Career

A former North Marion football coach achieved significant success during his tenure, guiding the Huskies to a state championship in 1997. Taking over from the legendary coach Roy Michael in 1991, White compiled a career record of 99 wins and 98 losses over 18 seasons. Under White’s leadership, the Huskies secured a spot in the state playoffs nine times, with seven of those appearances occurring in the 1990s. His gentle disposition stands out as a defining characteristic of his personality. In the dynamic and often intense world of football, he was renowned for his composed demeanor.
