Frank Torres Death – Vice President of Barracuda Business Operations Frank Torres of San Jose has sadly passed away. He died on Monday 15th January 2024 leaving those that knew him devastated. He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post that reads “It is with extreme sadness that Sharks Sports & Entertainment and the San Jose Barracuda announce the loss of our friend and colleague Frank Torres, Vice President of Barracuda Business Operations”.

Frank Torres Education

Frank Torres attended Texas Tech University before proceeding to study at Texas A&M University between 2006 – 2008 where he studied sports Management. In addition to being an integral member of Team Teal, Frank was responsible for managing the Barracuda’s business operations with great diligence. This included ensuring that ticket sales, business partnerships, marketing, communications, and fan relations were all managed with unflinching focus.

The profound enthusiasm, unwavering dedication, and unflaggingly upbeat attitude that Frank possessed left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who had the good fortune to work with him. Frank, who joined the organization in 2022, was instrumental in the successful debut of Tech CU Arena and played a major part in ensuring that the forthcoming 2024 AHL All-Star Classic in San Jose was a resounding success.

The fact that this important event is being held in San Jose is a source of great pride for Frank because it represents a league-wide acknowledgment of a revitalized San Jose Barracuda franchise. In addition, he was a member of the leadership team of the San Antonio Rampage, which was responsible for winning multiple American Hockey League sales and marketing awards. One of these awards was in 2019 for the “unique ticket sales promotion or theme night” with Los Chimuelos de San Antonio, which was a promotion that honored and celebrated Mexican heritage and culture.

Frank Torres’ obituary will be released by the family
