He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post made on Tuesday that says “It is with a very heavy heart that we write you the news of our beloved pastor, Father Cioppi, and his passing. As you all know, he had open heart surgery yesterday, and after many complications passed away yesterday evening”.

He received his diploma from Council Rock High School North in 1973 after completing his education there. After that, he attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in order to expand his knowledge, and then he continued his education at Villanova University, where he graduated in 1996. Immaculata University granted him his diploma in the year 2000. His position at Mother of Divine Providence was that of Parish Priest.
