Fabio Imbrogno Death – Artista Homes Employee Fabio Imbrogno of Winnipeg has sadly passed away. He died from carbon monoxide poisoning on Wednesday 26th July 2023 leaving those that knew him in shock. He was confirmed dead through a post made on Facebook by a Family member that reads “My heart is shattered. As a kid I looked up to you and wanted to do everything just like you. I was blessed to have grown up with you, go to school together , work together , play soccer together and more. You were taken from us to soon”.

On Wednesday, at 8:14 p.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) swiftly responded to a medical emergency at a house under construction on Beck Cove. Upon reaching the location, paramedics were the first to arrive and immediately entered the premises. Their medical equipment bags were equipped with carbon monoxide detectors, which instantly alerted them to the presence of dangerous levels of carbon monoxide inside the house.

Acting promptly, the paramedics began evacuating bystanders who had been attempting to provide medical assistance to an unresponsive patient. Tragically, the patient could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Minutes later, firefighters arrived at the location and measured carbon monoxide readings of over 2,000 parts per million (ppm) within the building.

The two bystanders were thoroughly assessed and treated by the paramedics. One of them, in critical condition, was immediately transported to the hospital. The first-arriving paramedics were also taken to the hospital for assessment and treatment. Investigations indicated that a gas-powered pump running inside the house caused the buildup of carbon monoxide. To ensure the safety of the area, fire crews thoroughly ventilated the building.
