Evan Boettler Death: The Aurora High School community is mourning the tragic death of a Sophomore student who passed away suddenly. Evan Boettler died from an apparent suicide after the New Year. The beloved teenager suffered from depression and mental anxiety. The teen was pronounced dead from a self-inflicted injury.
The Aurora Area Community Foundation wrote: Memorial donations can be made to the Evan Boettler Fund in care of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Checks can be made to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and write “Evan Boettler” in the memo. Donations can be dropped off at Aurora High School/YEP, Pettit Law Office, or First Independent Bank.
Tentative plans call for the funds to be earmarked for local scholarships and events designed to support families and celebrate the outdoors as a lasting legacy to someone who made such a difference to others.
