How did the incident happen?

On Sunday afternoon (5 Nov), a tragic incident occurred in a residential block, marked by the discovery of two police tents at the foot of the block. The fourth floor was cordoned off, with investigations centered on a unit where the two deceased individuals are believed to have lived.

It is speculated that the two may have fallen from the block’s stairwell. A neighbor reported hearing a loud noise around the time of the incident. An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, described seeing two Chinese individuals, presumably a woman and a baby, lying on the ground.

Later, a man assumed to be a relative, arrived and spoke with the police. The bodies were removed in the late afternoon, after which the man returned to the flat, visibly distressed. It was disclosed that the deceased was a mother and her daughter who had been residing in the estate for about a year.

The mother had two children, including an older son, and the male relative is believed to not be her husband. The authorities have preliminarily ruled out the possibility of foul play or homicide in this case.

Investigations are still ongoing.
