In an incident that occurred early on Sunday morning on Route 7, a local guy, age 22, was pronounced dead, and his passenger was badly injured. At approximately 11:20 in the morning, a collision occurred in the neighborhood of 254 Danbury Road. According to the police, a motorbike that was heading south on Danbury Road collided with a pick-up truck that was turning west into a parking lot.

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist, Brandon Forlastro, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident, and his female passenger was taken to Danbury Hospital in critical condition. The two people who were riding in the pick-up truck were alleged by the police to have reported no injuries at the site.

The section of Route 7 in the vicinity of the accident was closed for a number of hours, and it did not reopen until just before six o’clock in the evening.
