Erb Park Shooting: 1 hurt, lockdown after active shooter call in Appleton, WI

Erb Park Shooting Investigations – Officers with the Appleton Police Department are investigating a report of a shooting at Erb Park in Appleton, Wisconsin Monday evening. According to reports, Appleton’s Erb Park was evacuated by law enforcement agencies following a report of an armed person. According to Appleton Police Department, one person was injured after shots were fired at the occupied park.

Appleton Police Department; Appleton officers are actively working a scene at Erb Park. The park will be closed for the remainder of the evening. We will provide updates when we are able. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work this incident.

Law enforcement agencies is urging everyone to avoid the area at this time as investigators are working to identify the shooter who they say fled the scene after firing shots. Following the incident, the Erb Park Area in Appleton is now experiencing a significant presence of law enforcement personnel.
