Elyse Parcell Durango CO, Telluride Ski Resort Ski Patroller died after car accident at age 31 – GoFundMe

Elyse Parcell Death – Telluride Ski Resort Ski Patroller Elyse Parcell of Durango, Colorado has sadly passed away. She died leaving family, friends and colleagues on Wednesday 15th November 2023 after being involved in a deadly car accident on the 9th. She was confirmed dead through various publications made on Facebook  by loved ones. She was born in Durango, Colorado on May 7, 1992, she was the beloved daughter of Kathy and Bob Parcell. She was a ray of sunshine that was loved by all.

Elyse Parcell Education and Career

She graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2014 with a B.S. in Organismic and Environmental Biology. Following her graduation, she served as a Wildlife Biologist Technician at the U.S. Forest Service-Manti-La Sal National Forest in Moab, Utah, from May to August 2014. After that, she undertook an internship at Silverton Mountain in Silverton, Colorado, spanning from December 10, 2014, to April 15, 2015. Transitioning into the role of a Type 2 Wildland Firefighter, Engine at the U.S. Forest Service-Sawtooth National Forest in Stanley, Idaho, she dedicated her efforts from April 2015 to October 2015.

Subsequently, she joined Pike Hotshots in Monument, Colorado, where she worked as a Wildland Firefighter from April 1, 2016, to October 30, 2017. In February 2019 to May 2019, she broadened her experience as a Former Heliski Intern at Alaska Mountain Guides.

Following that, she took on roles as a Ski Patrol at Telluride Ski Patrol, a River Guide at OARS – Whitewater Rafting, and an Assistant Heli Ski Guide at Pulseline Adventure. She is survived by all of the communities that she served, including Telluride, Silverton, Moab, and Durango. As well as her mother, father, Aunt Jill, Uncle Rob, Aunt Debbie, soul sister Elizabeth Schwab, the Telluride Ski Patrol, and countless friends across Southwest Colorado and beyond.

A GoFundMe account has been created by Kelsy Woodson and 2 other in order to solicit for financial support while Elyse Parcell was in the hospital. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise the sum of $20,000  but so far the sum of $1,100 has been raised with the help of 14 individuals.
