Dr. Tasneem Mahmud Death: The Ilford, Essex community is mourning the death of a medical doctor who passed away tragically. Dr. Tasneem Mahmud, of Roding Lane South, Ilford, Essex died from an apparent suicide after battling depression and anxieties ( a condition that can become deadly.) The Imperial College London graduate was found dead from a self-inflicted injury.
Dr. Tasneem Mahmud studied medicine at Imperial College London with a 1st Class Honours in an intercalated BSc in Biomedical Engineering. She was a former Wellbeing Rep at ICSMSU. And an experienced Mental Health Officer 18-19 at Imperial College Union. Dr. Tasneem Mahmud also possessed a broad knowledge of the fundraising sector through working as a Student Caller, and extensive expertise in the tuition industry.
She was also a freelance Henna Artist and Singer. Her notable skills include creative thinking, leadership, and proficient communication skills. She was a proud alum of Woodford County High School For Girls.
Her sister Tab wrote on X: As many people may have already heard, I’m devastated to share with you all that my sister Dr Tasneem Mahmud passed away on Sunday 17th Dec 2023. As for #medtwitter, she loved being a doctor despite its many challenges. Though the conditions of the NHS severely need improvements, for my sister, it was her job that kept her going.
The General Medical Council (GMC) also mourned the death of the dedicated worker whom many described as a friend to many people. Dr. Tasneem Mahmud was a vibrant young soul with a promising future ahead. She was cute, savvy, and so talented.
