Bryn and Harrison Thompson Death – Bryn and Harrison Thompson, beloved children of Surgeons Dr. Addison Thompson of Rayville, Louisiana has sadly passed away. They died on Monday 14th August 2023 after a deadly accident that took place on Richland Parish accident that also left their mother injured. According to information, the tragic incident is still under investigation by the Louisiana State Police.

How did the accident happen?

The collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 425 and Buckles Road in Rayville, where two vehicles collided, leading to the unfortunate deaths of two children aged 7 and 9. According to the Louisiana State Police (LSP), the sequence of events unfolded as follows: a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban, operated by Kasey Thompson, 43 years old, was heading south on U.S. Hwy. 425. Behind the Suburban was a 2001 Volvo tractor pulling a grain trailer, driven by James Barnes, 70 years old.

As Thompson was preparing to execute a left turn onto Buckles Road, the Volvo struck the rear of the Suburban, as reported by LSP. Tragically, the impact resulted in the Suburban catching fire. The Suburban had four occupants, including three children. Unfortunately, two of these children, who were properly restrained with seatbelts, were declared deceased at the accident scene by the Richland Parish Coroner’s Office, according to information provided by LSP.

Kasey Thompson and her front-seat passenger, both of whom were wearing seatbelts, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local medical facility for treatment. LSP noted that James Barnes, the operator of the Volvo, was not utilizing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, although he emerged uninjured. While impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples have been submitted for analysis. The LSP investigation into the crash is ongoing, as they work to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
