Deven Tlanda Mokena IL, Mark T Hickey & Associates, P.C. Associate Attorney has died

Deven Tlanda Death – A cherished member of the Mokena, Illinois community has passed away. He died on Wednesday 8th November 2023 leaving behind his beloved family at the age of 29. He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post that reads “My heart is at a loss. My big brother. My perfect brother. You’ve always been someone that I’ve loved and looked up to. From your perfect smile and bright blue eyes (you got the good genes obviously) and your strong personality”. The actual cause of Deven Tlanda’s death has not been released

Deven Tlanda Education

Deven Tlanda accomplished his undergraduate studies at Illinois State University during the period of 2012 to 2016, successfully obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Criminal Justice and Corrections. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at Northern Illinois University College of Law from 2017 to 2020, culminating in the attainment of a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.

During his time at Illinois State University, Deven was an intern at the investigations unit of the Will County Public Defender’s Office in Joliet, Illinois, dedicating five months from January 2016 to May 2016 to investigating cases for the preparation of pretrial motions, working on pro se appointed cases and post-conviction proceedings, as well as conducting witness interviews and formulating trial strategies.

Deven Tlanda Career

After his internship, Deven transitioned into a role as an Inside Sales representative at Imperial Crane Services, Inc., located in Bridgeview, Illinois, where he served for a year and six months from August 2016 to January 2018. During this time, his responsibilities included conducting research on upcoming projects utilizing various tracking methods, maintaining strong customer relationships, and creating 3D lift plans for crane layouts.

Following this, Deven served as a Research Assistant at Northern Illinois University College of Law in Dekalb, Illinois, for almost two years, from August 2018 to June 2020. Additionally, he held the position of Law Clerk at Mark T. Hickey & Assoc. PC, where he later advanced to the role of Associate Attorney. In this capacity, he handled a diverse array of legal areas, including, but not limited to, family law, evictions, civil litigation, probate, criminal law, real estate, and personal injury cases.

Visitation will be held Tuesday November 14, 2023, 3:00-9:00 PM at the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL. 60448. A Chapel Service will commence at 5:00 PM in the Funeral Home Stateroom.
