Deon Ellison Charged For The Murder Of Jeremiah Bonds in Hall County

HALL COUNTY — According to the statements made by the sheriff’s office, Deon Ellison was taken into custody on suspicion of murder after he allegedly shot and killed a driver during a heated dispute. A guy, age 24, who was wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide that occurred early on Friday morning has been taken into custody by deputies from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. According to the information provided by the sheriff’s office, Deon Ellison was wanted for murder after he allegedly shot and killed a driver following a heated disagreement between the two.

The incident reportedly took place on northbound Interstate 985 close to the Jesse Jewell Parkway entrance ramp just before 1:30 a.m., according to the authorities. When the authorities came, they spoke with a witness and discovered a car containing a dead body of a man who had been shot inside. According to the deputies, Ellison and the witness were both occupants in the vehicle when the 24-year-old fired the deadly shot at the 23-year-old driver, who has been identified as Jeremiah Bonds.

The deputies continued their search of the region for the remainder of the morning, but they were initially unsuccessful in locating Ellison. It was just before 7:30 p.m. when deputies were able to apprehend him at a place just north of Gainesville, according to the deputies. After the shots were fired, the vehicle continued through the intersection and then drove into a ditch before coming to a full and final halt. The 24-year-old then fled in the direction of the settlement of Rabbittown until being apprehended later on Friday evening, according to the reports that were released by the authorities.

Officials with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office claim that two males have been taken into custody in connection with the tragic shooting in Flowery Branch. A man was discovered shot to death in the rear of a residence on Wednesday, according to the investigators, and he was pronounced dead at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Two of the males that were inside have been detained.

According to the investigators, deputies were dispatched to a residence after a person called 911 and then hung up. According to Mitchell, when the cops knocked on the door, the person who was inside told them that another man had made the call. The individual was asked to speak with the deputies, but he did not answer the door when they knocked. In an interview with the Gainesville Times, Sgt. Mark Mitchell stated that the identity of the suspects and the victim have not been disclosed at this time because the investigation is still ongoing. It is not quite apparent what led up to the shooting that took place.
