What was Denise Morgan’s cause of death?
In what appears to be a murder-suicide, an Irish woman was shot and killed in New York. It is believed that the woman, who was from a County Louth village, was shot and killed by her American lover. Early on Saturday, there was an incident at a residence in the Queens neighborhood of the city. Next to his body, according to the police, was a gun.
The incident is thought to have happened in the Borough’s Glendale neighborhood around 2:44 in the morning. Startled officers were sent to the area to look into allegations of shooting and discovered the body inside the living room of a second-floor flat. Both the 33-year-old man and the 38-year-old victim sustained head injuries from gunshots. It is believed that the couple had dated for a while.
Who were the victims?
According to the police, they believe the man shot the woman before shooting himself. At the scene, both were declared deceased. Although investigations are still ongoing, the police said they are confident it is a murder-suicide. The bodies were removed in order to conduct a post-mortem examination at a later time. The man was identified as Joed Taveras and the woman as Denise Morgan.
That being said, it is recognized that the woman is Irish and that she lives in the County Louth region of Drogheda. She has been residing in America for a while and has a child with a previous spouse. It’s understood that the man serves in the United States Army.

Lisa Loughery is organizing a fundraiser on behalf of Lisa Morgan. The GoFundMe page organized to raise €200,000 has raised €5,627. “Denise had a vibrant energy that illuminated everyone. She leaves an unforgettable imprint on the hearts of colleagues and family,” the page read. Another GoFundMe page organized by Alan Whyte has raised £31,201. Denise was described as a loving mother, a caring sister, and a beautiful daughter whose love for life was contagious.
