David Wyant Sarasota FL, Shumaker Partner died at age 40

David Wyant Death – David Wyant has passed away suddenly. He died at the age of 40 leaving his family, friends and loved ones who will forever miss him devastated and shocked learning of his tragic death. He was announced dead through a social media post by Shumaker. The post reads: “It is with a very heavy heart that we share that the Shumaker family suffered a terrible loss on June 2, 2023 when our partner and friend David Wyant passed away at the age of 40.”

For many years, David worked with Shumaker in Sarasota’s Financial Services group. He first served as an associate and later became a partner. He was an excellent writer and thinker as a young guy. He loved to announce the rowing competitions at Nathan Benderson Park, cool art, and Nike footwear. He loved listening to music, especially vinyl records. He had no trouble expressing his own thoughts.

Life and Career

Following his graduation from college, David offered to coach the Sarasota Crew for a year alongside Shumaker Partner Mike Taaffe before leaving for law school. After graduating from law school, David approached Mike directly for a job. Knowing David’s abilities and moral character, Mike hired him right away. He thereafter rose to prominence as a rowing pundit across the nation. The weekend before his death, he even made the NCAA women’s championship announcement.

David has struggled with health complications his whole life and over the past 18 months they have gotten a lot more serious. In January, he took a leave of absence to deal with his most recent health struggles. However, he never lost his positive attitude and even joined his friends at Shumaker to celebrate his birthday. David expressed his gratitude for the support of the Shumaker family in a thank you email he wrote a few months ago, noting that it helped him fight his health struggle. Knowing that Shumaker’s assistance enabled him to spend his final few months at home with his wife Paige and their young sons Winston and Spencer gives his thank you message even more significance.

David Wyant obituary and funeral plans will be released at a later date
