Police looking for stolen vehicle
Law enforcement is actively working to locate a vehicle they believe is linked to the incident – a 2015 white Volvo XC60. This vehicle had been reported stolen on the preceding Thursday, and the registered owner is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Notably, the vehicle is distinguishable due to its missing gas cap.
The last known sighting of the Volvo was on Shaganappi Trail N.W., approaching Crowchild Trail. In their efforts to gather evidence and leads, authorities are requesting assistance from the public. Specifically, they are urging individuals with dash-cam footage from the vicinity of Market Mall around 2:19 p.m. on August 12th to come forward by contacting the police at 403-266-1234. Tips and information can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
